Acquiring AT . . . discount, loan and demonstration
AT:LAST provides it's customers with five unique ways to acquire assistive technology.
The Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MDTAP) provides limited demonstration and loan services throughout all regions of the state locally. Review the listing for your region first, but note that Maryland residents may request demonstrations or loan of equipment from any of the three regional collections. (Some materials are for demonstration only and do not circulate.)
You can also visit our AT Learning Center for personalized assistive technology demonstrations. Our AT Specialists are available for an hourly fee to provide you with customized assistance. Contact us for more information.
The Equipment Link connects people who have disability-related equipment to sell, lend or donate with people who need it. The Link is a free, "classified ads" service.
Provided by MD TAP, the Link is primarily for Marylanders, although they do accept entries from neighboring states. The program is for use by private individuals, not vendors or distributors; however, agencies may list equipment they want to donate or lend for free, not sell.
Out of State Equipment Exchange
The Out of State Equipment Exchange provides opportunities to buy, sell or trade used assistive technology equipment.
Loan Programs (Fiscal & Equipment)
Fiscal loans are available through the Maryland Assistive Technology Guaranteed Loan Program which helps Maryland residents with disabilities and their families qualify for low - interest loans to buy equipment that helps them live, work, and learn more independently.
AT:LAST collaborates with the Loan Program to provide consumers with the lowest price for the AT on which they are seeking a low interest loan.
Equipment loans are also available for 4 weeks at nominal fee from AT:LAST.

New to our rental collection is a Rifton adaptive tricycle available for loan. The trike was donated by Rifton and provides therapeutic, reciprocal exercise with all the fun of riding.
