What is a "Beat the Bus Brown Bag" format?
In order to accommodate the needs of parents who are only available between the time their child leaves for and returns from school—as well as the professionals who may be traveling considerable distances—we have instituted a new session format called “Beat the Bus Brown Bag.” These sessions will run from 9:45 am to 1:45 pm and attendees may eat their brown bag lunches during instruction. In this manner we hope to maximize the amount of time for sessions while accommodating hectic schedules.
"Beat the Bus" Brown Bag Reminders!
So that everyone has an enjoyable and enriching experience, here are a few points to ponder:
- Please try to arrive a few minutes early so that you may sign in, settle in with your belongings, enjoy a morning refreshment that we'll provide, and have a look around our Assistive Technology Learning Center. Our goal is to begin promptly so that the presenter’s material will be covered without compromising content.
- Please be sure to bring your "brown bag" lunch - it is a "working" workshop, although there will be about a 30-minute break (at the discretion of the presenter). You may purchase your lunch at one of three restaurants (deli, Pizza Boli’s, or Chinese) located just across the parking lot. Beverages and snacks will be available throughout the period. Note: We do not have a refrigerator to accommodate your lunches, so be sure to use cold packs if necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns at all, or if you find you are unable to attend, please contact us. We look forward to having you visit us!
